In March 2005, Aurora opened a temporary manufacturing facility at Mississippi State
University's Raspet Flight Research Laboratory in Starkville, MS. In April 2007,
the company moved into its permanent facility at the nearby Golden Triangle Regional
Airport in Columbus, MS, a 22,000 square foot manufacturing plant.
The Aurora Flight Sciences of Mississippi (AMS) operation fabricates composite aerostructures.
AMS provides airframe design, assembly and integration of the high performance Orion HALL
Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), GoldenEye 80, and other Aurora projects.
The facility includes, climate-controlled composite fabrication space and material
storage and all other items necessary for high-quality aerostructures fabrication.
In addition to the 22,000 square feet built during Phase I, Aurora is currently
building a 66,000 square foot addition to the facility in order to meet anticipated
demand for the Orion HALL UAV and other Aurora aircraft that will be fabricated in Mississippi.
